An increasing demand for diesel  has meant the use of 'cracked components' in diesel 
blending by refiners.  Cracked components contain Nitrogen, Olefins and aromatics, but can be 
more unstable than typical diesel components.  This  manifests itself as 
a precipitation of 'gums', which can lead to the blockage of diesel fuel filters. A suitable stability improver can thus be used to protect against these unwanted characteristics in your fuel.
