Biocides can be used in any major distilled fuel including Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene, Marine Gas Oil & Home Heating Oil to prevent and cure Microbiological contamination.

The range of applications for fuel biocides are as broad as the range of industries in which major fuels are used. These include, but are not limited to, Oil & Gas (production, storage & distribution), Shipping, Aviation, Road & Haulage, Rail, Emergency Power systems, Agricultural and Home Heating applications.

Biocide can be used in any downstream fuel application where either contamination has occured, or preventative measures are required. Fuel Technologies recommend the use of Kathon™ FP 1.5 biocide, a chemical proven in a wide range of fuel-using industries for many decades. Kathon FP 1.5 is approved for use aboard a number of Diesel engine manufacturers including MTU, Cummins and General Electric.
